  1. Well, then you DIDN'T use my instructions. Why wouldn't it let you use advanced? Was that button greyed out?
  2. This is the best I can manage. Would it be acceptable?
  3. Ah, too bad. Never mind, we'll have to try it the hard way. Do you mind sending me the raw file?
  4. Please post this photo in the Raw Class Posting Area so we can discuss.
  5. Hi Lee, just to check, are you calibrating with my instructions here?
  6. Ok. So when you're holding the brush over your image, you should be seeing the outline of the brush shape, yes? And when you use the square bracket keys to resize the brush, while you've got your brush cursor over the image, you should see it change size in real time?
  7. Other people have reported this too. When you double-click, it opens ACR via Photoshop. When you "Open in raw" it opens ACR via Bridge. Make sure you go to both programs (Bridge and Photoshop) and choose "Updates" from both Help menus, to make sure everything is current.
  8. Nick, are you still there?
  9. Ok, do you mind if I use your photo to do a tutorial? If that's ok, could you send me the full-sized jpeg of your edited photo?
  10. Ok, yeah, I think I know how this is done. I think I made the sparkles a bit too dense, but is this roughly in the ballpark?
  11. Before we explore more complex fixes, let's not ignore the easy solution that might exist - do you have another photo of his head, at the correct size and angle, that might be suitable for a swap?
  12. May I see that Deviant Art image you found?
  13. http://www.damiensymonds.net/act_web.html
  14. Have you googled "fairy dust overlays" or similar? There should be heaps of files out there, on sites like deviantart.
  15. I wonder if the images are appearing in a different order on your screen than mine? I see a couple of photos like that, but both are on the left, not in the middle. Oh, wait, I see it!
  16. Can you post in the Raw Class so we can talk about your raw processing please?
  17. Can you define what's "magical" about it, exactly?
  18. Hi Jan, please go to the Levels Class table of contents and read the second module of Section 2 again. Just the first dozen slides will be enough.
  19. I think it'll need to be even warmer than that, won't it?
  20. Terrific! Then I have the very video you need: http://www.damiensymonds.net/client-photoshop
  21. I reckon it's better to squash it down. It's very easy to do with Liquify. Download the PSD
  22. No, this doesn't sound right. Printing by whom?
  23. Well, post it.
