  1. With respect, that's impossible. All DNG files from one camera should be a very similar size. Please check again. It sounds like you were looking at jpeg files.
  2. And? Have you compared it to other DNG files from your camera? Is 20MB correct? By the way, you're in Adobe RGB. This is disastrous. Fix it right away. Click on the blue link at the bottom of the ACR window, and change from Adobe RGB to sRGB.
  3. This is your chance, my friend. Embrace it. Change your life. http://www.damiensymonds.net/bridge-30-day-challenge
  4. Well ... that's a different photo. How many of these problem photos do you have?
  5. Hell yes it matters. You can't use that, because you can't replicate it next month.
  6. Yeah, that'll work.
  7. Ok. What opacity brush did you use?
  8. Ok, could you send me those files? One from the PC and one from the Mac?
  9. Is this the one you were following? http://www.damiensymonds.net/2013/02/using-photo-filter-layer-to-fix-casts.htm
  10. Well, the problem isn't your editing, but the AWFUL mixed lighting in this photo.
  11. If you feel the problem is in the SOOR, then yes, back to raw.
  12. No. All this "looking" stuff is feeble and irrelevant. The only way to judge colours is against pro lab prints. Do you have some pro lab prints there? Furthermore, what program are you viewing in? If it's not an Adobe program, forget it. Only view in Bridge.
  13. Upgrade time. Pronto. What do you mean by "great"? How are you making this judgement? Against what standard?
  14. Ok, that's better. Which Spyder?
  15. What? Didn't you say the bottom one is correct?
  16. http://www.damiensymonds.net/what2buy_cal.html
  17. Well, the rug and box look a bit different too, don't they?
  18. Well, it just means that you won't be able to open so many images at a time, I guess.
  19. This is not a DNG file, sorry. See how small the file is - only 416KB. A real DNG file would be at least twenty times bigger than that. This is just a thumbnail file. I'm so sorry to be the bearer of bad news
  20. First things first, STOP USING LIGHTROOM. This is exactly the kind of crap you're subjecting yourself to. http://www.damiensymonds.net/bridge-30-day-challenge
  21. Ok, so your screen matches your prints?
  22. Hi Dani, sorry about my delayed reply. Saturday mornings are a whirlwind of kids' sport, it's hard to get computer time. While I'm playing with numbers, can you fix your raw processing and post the 100% crop again?
