Those stripes will only cause problems if you're photographing the baby from a LONG way away. Like, if the baby was being held in the arms of a person in a 30-person group photo.

The black background works in Yasmin's photos because of the backlight illuminating the hair. Yours doesn't have that.
I definitely wouldn't try changing the background completely. With the hair, it's just too difficult.
