  1. No ... as long as you're damn sure you've set up the template at the right size and resolution.
  2. What the heck? Duh! You're at 300% zoom!
  3. It looks like you copied/pasted, instead of using File>Place. That's really bad. You must only ever use File>Place. I urge you to read over that part of the Layers & Masks Class again.
  4. Still a slight light rim around his head on the left-hand side.
  5. No, this is looking very promising! Just tweak the colours of the gradient a bit, until it's a nice match around the hair.
  6. Excellent!!!! Now use the second link I gave you to replace the whole background.
  7. Paint it back with a low-opacity black brush, of course. Keep finessing it until it matches like mine does.
  8. Hey, perfect!!! Now paint carefully on the mask (with white, of course) for those parts.
  9. You only need that bit touching the hair to match. Nothing else matters, because it will be covered by the new wall you add later.
  10. Yes, always flatten first. Without flattening, you can't sharpen.
  11. Just to check, you should be sampling the colour from (1) and then clicking at (2). Is that what you're doing?
  12. No, it doesn't sound like a Levels matter. Here is fine.
  13. No no no! We mustn't fall into that trap. Your prints are what they are. Then never change. They are NOT yellow. Your screen is too cold. Is that how you've been approaching the troubleshooting?
  14. Ok, that gives us a good solid basis. So you're saying that no matter what you do, the ASUS screen is always colder than the prints?
  15. You've already masked, remember? Steps 1-5 should make the dark wall at the top of the hair match the light wall at the rest of the hair.
  16. What was your old monitor; and did it match your prints?
  17. Use the eyedropper, exactly as described in the tutorial.
  18. What? No, I'm just talking about that Levels layer. The one that you're using to balance the ceiling with the wall.
  19. It must be your screen. No weird pixelation visible here.
  20. Yeah, skintone might be too difficult. Blue might be our only option. Could you post a closeup?
