  1. What Luminance target are you choosing for the calibration?
  2. https://www.damiensymonds.net/desktop-monitor-brightness/
  3. I don't understand what you don't understand? Your.screen.must.match.your.prints.
  4. I have no idea, sorry. You need to ask this on a Canon forum, I guess.
  5. It's a catalogue file. She's sent you a catalogue instead of the actual photos.
  6. The globes have to be bright enough to provide the same amount of light at night as you'd get through the open windows during the day.
  7. If you're at 80 and your screen is still brighter than the prints, then we must turn our attention to your room light. Are you sure it's bright enough?
  8. No, that's NOT the one you're following.
  9. @HayleyJ you're following the wrong instructions, ya wally! You're supposed to be on these ones: https://ask.damiensymonds.net/topic/36351-i1studio-pc01/
  10. Remind me which screen you have?

  12. And for clients, this: https://www.damiensymonds.net/client-photoshop/
  13. I don't know. There's no point that I've ever found.
  14. Only save. Never Export. Exporting as as flaky as hell.
  15. Ok, let's rule out the latter straight away. Images for print must be "Save As". They can ONLY be saved one at a time, bulk saving isn't possible. For watermarked web ones, have you set this up yet? https://www.damiensymonds.net/act_web.html
  16. Great! And do you tend to do them one at a time, or in bulk?
  17. First, can you confirm you've read and understood this? https://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/02/trash-those-jpegs.html
  18. I'm so sorry mate, I can't think of any "clever tricks" here. It would just have to be cloning. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/10/role-of-masks-when-cloning.html
  19. Keep this on its default setting. It might be called "Color LCD" or something like that? Let's keep going with old ones for now.
  20. Yep! Keep the posts coming! Have you ordered your calibrator yet? Please don't make me use the words "stupid Mac" three times in one thread. No, don't use that.
  21. If in doubt, always go lower. So choose the second level. As I said, because you have a stupid Mac, there's nothing you can do about that until you get your calibrator.
  22. You're on a stupid Mac, so you can't adjust the colours. You need to take the Brightness slider down until the screen's brightness matches the prints.
