  1. Nobody will ever know. You did an amazing job.
  2. Looks fantastic!
  3. Yep, now spend some time fine-tuning the masking.
  4. I reckon the new part of the blanket should go entirely behind the old part. Instead of going over in on the left side.
  5. Great! So you can either: simply choose to edit solely on that one, and only use the other (cooler) screen for emails and stuff; or keep going with recalibrations on the cooler screen (continuing to follow the troubleshooting part of my instructions) to try to get it warmer and better.
  6. Which screen matches your prints?
  7. Ok, try again at 70. If that's still too bright, then it definitely means that your room light is too dim.
  8. What brightness target did you use that time?
  9. At the beginning of the Raw Class. First or second module, I can't remember.
  10. Recalibrate with lower brightness, exactly as my directions say.
  11. The graphs look good, but it all means nought if you don't have a print match.
  12. @Brian are you around? Why is Stephie's hard drive saying it has an icloud drive on it?
  13. 66 still isn't enough. Gotta clear off more space.
  14. The files you're actually working on at the moment should be on your actual computer. Only use the cloud for the jobs you've finished. How's your hard drive free space now?
  15. Ok, first thing first, have you made sure there's NOTHING on your desktop? https://ask.damiensymonds.net/topic/33422-ive-been-saving-on-my-desktop/
  16. Hi @BexD I'm sure Brian would like to see it. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2013/09/grabbing-700x700px-100-crop.html
  17. I don't know how to fix it, sorry.
  18. Yeah, it's less noticeable in that one.
  19. Oh crikey. I can't think of a way, sorry.
  20. Regarding the colours, I'll be interested to know if this helps at all. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/03/bit-about-soft-proofing.html
  21. 1. Yes, run it again now. Set the white point target to "Native". 2. I can't speak to the sharpness, but they shouldn't be more saturated, no. 3. Any specific colours?
  22. Thanks. I'm a ROG user, and a very happy one. I'm sure you would be too. As I said, my first ROG had a real IPS screen (it was so good) and I was disappointed to have to settle for an "IPS-level" screen for my second one, but it's still ok.
  23. Hi @nadine, Brian is away this week with limited internet access, so his answer will be delayed. I'm a very poor substitute, but I'll try to offer a couple of things that I think Brian would say. Be aware that any displays that say "IPS level" aren't true IPS displays. They're pretty good (I have one) but not as good as the real IPS displays that Asus used to put in their laptops. It's a pity. I'm confused about the graphics and memory in this one. I'm afraid I can't tell whether they're good or not. The graphics seems to be integrated instead of separate, so that might be a red flag. This one doesn't have its own separate graphics memory, so I think Brian will say to avoid it. Can you find a more comprehensive list of specs for this machine? This link it is a bit light. The same warning here about the screen - "IPS level" is pretty good, but not as good as true IPS. Will you be using the screen primarily, or will you be plugging a desktop screen in to edit on?
  24. I've moved this into Brian's area because I have NFI, sorry.
