  1. When you crop, do you see the photo changing size on screen? It should remain exactly the same size (apart from the removal of the cropped edges, of course).
  2. Ok, wow. What a beautiful photo. May I see a screenshot including the layers panel? Oh, and post the SOOR also, thanks.
  3. Just to check, have you opened a file that is a bit older (from a time when you know that everything was running smoothly) and see if the same problems are happening with that file now?
  4. I painted on the D&B layer with a 3% opacity brush. Anything higher than that will be too brutal, I think. I used a 10% brush for the colour fix layer.
  5. Oh, I think only that main band of shadow. Like this.
  6. It's not you. Refine Edge is a terrible function. Abandon it. You can't blur that way. This is how it's done.
  7. No, nothing else I can think of.
  8. Sorry, I understand now. Presently the action is set up to place the watermark 10 pixels in from each edge. You can modify that easily by re-recording the "Canvas Size" step in this part: http://www.damiensymonds.net/images/actions/wmact24.gif
  9. Hopefully this will work to reduce that problematic band of shadow.
  10. Gosh, with a bigger backdrop, of course! Edit looks great, just needs to be darker at the left.
  11. Settings, yes. Actions and brushes shouldn't go. But make sure they're backed up, just in case.
  12. In that case, I think you'll need to reset Photoshop's preferences. Hold down Cmd Opt Shift as you launch it.
  13. No it doesn't. Read the instructions again. Every single word.
  14. Are you asking how to put the drop shadow step into the action? Or are you asking how to actually add a drop shadow in Photoshop?
  15. Are you aware of any system updates that have installed recently?
  16. Download the PSD file
  17. It doesn't matter. Prints are prints, no matter how they were edited. Gosh, this is unusual. Most modern laptops can handle dual profiles ok. Which Spyder do you have?
  18. You mentioned a 4500 one? That sounds great.
  19. Ha ha ha! I like your optimism. Yes, I guess it'll have to do. Get a lamp which sits as high as possible, so the light has a chance to spread out nice and evenly.
  20. The moire isn't too bad, it will be sufficient to add a Solid Color layer (of the dark dull purple) set to Color blend mode and mask it on to the shirt. Then underneath that, a dodge and burn layer, and start patiently working away at it. Suggest a drink or two to help.
  21. First things first, you must ALWAYS make sure the "Embed Color Profile" box is checked when saving your files for web. It's bad news having untagged images floating around.
