  1. Mary, PLEASE read the instructions. Part 4 discussed how you take the readings from all the presets, and write them down on your notepad.
  2. Then I don't understand the problem? I talk about those presets at GREAT length in the instructions: http://www.damiensymonds.net/cal_i1DP_pc1.html You should have their values all written down on a notepad, exactly as I instructed: https://www.damiensymonds.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/15i1dppc09.jpg
  3. Are these the instructions you followed? https://www.damiensymonds.net/cal_i1DP_mac.html
  4. Ok, I think this will work ... First add a dodge and burn layer. Don't do anything on it for now. Then add this Channel Mixer layer: R 0, +123, 0, 0 G 0, +100, 0, 0 B 0, +84, 0, 0 (Make sure you input the numbers in the EXACT order I've given them.) Mask the CM layer to the whole lace area, or at least broadly to the troublesome parts. Then return to the D&B layer and gently dodge the dark area to smooth it all out.
  5. Ok, could you show me another crop, showing more of the red problem?
  6. The only traditional moire I can see is in the top right corner, which I've circled in red. But apart from that, there's a weird dark area which I've circled in green. Does that correspond to what you're seeing too?
  7. If you don't feel like starting again, then we need to work on aligning all the separate layers you already have. To do that, you need to choose the Move Tool (V) then select all the text layers by clicking on one (in the layers panel) then Ctrl-clicking on all the rest, until they're all highlighted. THEN you should find that the "Align" buttons at the bottom of your screen are highlighted, and you can use the "Middle" one.
  8. There are several answers to this. The first answer is the one I would have given if you'd asked me BEFORE you started: When you choose the Type Tool, most people just click, then start typing. But in this case, it's much better to click and drag a big text box. Then when you start typing, your text will be inside that box, and you can align everything perfectly inside the box. I urge you to start again and use this method. It makes everything MUCH easier.
  9. I know you didn't ask for this advice, but I urge you to not have those little corner lines quite so close to the edges. If they get the printing or cutting alignment a little bit wrong, it will look really obvious that those are uneven. I'd bring them in a bit. Will write back about the text thing shortly.
  10. Hi Rae, may I see a screenshot of what you've designed so far, including your layers panel?
  11. The 1/60th has bitten you here, hasn't it? The motion blur. I would understand if, in desperation, you pushed this one through. But I urge you to discard it.

  13. No. If the only problem is vivid reds, and the rest of the photos match ok, there's nothing else that calibration can do. It's all about the soft-proofing from here.
  14. Then we're back where we started. Vivid reds need to be corrected using the soft-proofing profile. But if you can't get the profile, you're just going to have to live with this, and do your best.
  15. Is it ALL reds? Or only the very vivid bright reds?
  16. This is BS and you know it. You can't just add some blue to your pics and say you've solved a problem. CALIBRATE YOUR DARN SCREEN.
  17. Yes, it's great, don't worry.
  18. Yes, I do. I don't think anybody would give it a second glance, and that's all that matters.
